Fire Rated Secondary Glazed Windows
Information
Steel fabricated secondary glazing windows are available
in the following standard formats:
- Fixed light windows
- Single opening windows
- Double opening windows
- Fanlight windows
- Specials are available on request
All our secondary glazed windows are available in 30/0 (half hour) and 60/0 (one hour) integrity only fire ratings to BS 476 Part 22: 1987.
The bespoke windows are available to suit most standard window sizes within the following maximum tested sizes:
- Fixed light single windows up 3.55 metres square with a maximum pane dimension
not exceeding 2817mm.
- Single opening windows with an opening sash size not
exceeding 1200mm wide x 2300mm high.
- Double opening windows with an opening size of 2400mm
wide x 2300 high.
- Fanlight windows can extend the height of fixed light
and sash windows to a maximum height 3000mm by the maximum
permitted width.
Sash windows are equipped with an espagnolette locking
mechanism and should be kept locked shut at all times
other than for essential maintenance.
Hinges are welded in place and non-adjustable.
Flush bolts to the slave leaf windows are concealed behind
the master leaf and are only accessible once the master
leaf is unlocked.
All the window frame components are
polyester powder coated to a standard RAL colour for low
maintenance and durability.
